The PhD student Omid Alizadeh Afrouzi won the Audience Award and runner-up for the best 3MT-presentation at Three Minute Thesis Competition (3MT®), held on August 31, 2022 at University of St.Gallen (HSG).
These awards were granted to Omid for his project entitled: “Collective memory reduces prejudice against immigrants”. The 3MT® is an academic research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia. The event came to HSG for the first time in 2022. This competition supports the capacity of PhD students to effectively explain their doctoral research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialized audience. The finalists of this 3MT were selected by a five-member jury and trained by a public-speaking trainer before their final pitch. omid.alizadehafrouzi@unisg.ch
