The Consolidation Grant promotes sustainable, longer-term research cooperation between Swiss and Latin American scholars with the aim of producing accountable scientific outcomes in domains that have been identified as priority by both Latin American and Swiss institutions. The goal of this instrument is to provide a solid impulse to prepare larger applications (Anschubfinanzierung). Along with the organization of collective workshops, conferences, and fieldwork, the COG fosters initiatives for the mobility of young researchers (PostDocs, PhD, and MA students).
For the period 2021-2024, the Leading House will support new cooperation endeavors with all potential partners in the region. Therefore, the Leading House opens the call, inviting scholars from Switzerland to propose mono- or interdisciplinary research projects in any Latin American country, involving bilateral or multilateral partnerships.
The call is open to all disciplines and fields (see Call). Proposals have to guarantee a direct transfer to society.
Grants between CHF 25,000 and CHF 50,000 will be awarded.
